Xenos Rampant Battle Report - First Game

On the last resting break before deployment, after the long march, Sergeant Dechampagne poured a sip of wine to all his soldiers. This time, our peloton leads a raid on enemy base. Our enemy is strong, devious and highly skilled. Our target is Harrowmaster Dien Ekas of Alpha Legion!

Notre peloton
They say, that when you cut off the head of the hydra, two more will take it's place. We say, that our ancestors invented the guillotine!

Our forces quickly took over administrative buildings, while Tirailleur-Grenadiers - our sniper, climbed to a vantage point on top of one of the buildings. Char Chien de l'Enfer (Hellhound tank as it's commonly known in your language) took the road, supported by our Command Squad and infantry in buildings on both sides.

The enemy have taken position in trenches with their tank on the opposite side of the battlefield. We have pressed the attack! Under covering fire of our snipers, we have moved forward. Unfortunatelly, both infantry squads faced obstacle, too difficult to easily overcome. While second squad hit the force-field gate and needed to shoot the control panel, first squad - led by sgt. Dechampagne - found a barrel of wine. The sergeant decided, it is necessary to find out if the Alpha Legion wine is worth of requisition, before his squad could move further on.

Wine-tasting at Alpha Legion base... maybe they're not that corrupted after all

In the meantime, le chien de l'Enfer blown a massive ball of fire on the entrenched Alpha Legionares, vaporizing whole unit. Only boiling pool of melted ceramite was found in the trench.

When the second squad finally managed to open the force-field, their radio crackled with Capitains voice: "Mes amis, target on the move!" So they left the gate opened and ran back from where they came to meet the enemy at the other side of the building. Unfortunatelly, our other troops had no way to support them as Char'dan (massive Alpha Legion battle tank... they call it Sher'dan but in our ancestral language, "char" mean tank...) blocked the path, firing massive shells on our fighting vehicle, blasting it away shortly.

Only our snipers could support second squad in their fight against the enemy! Unfortunatelly, before the fighting could really get hot, we have recieved orders from high command to pull out. Maybe it took us too long to take out their leader... but at least, Sergeant Dechampagne requisitioned the barrel.
